Retired or semi-retired?  Want to make new friends and learn something new?  U3A is a co-operative of older people which enables members to share learning, creative and leisure activities.

We run over 80 groups led by volunteers who pass on their knowledge to others. The only cost is an annual membership fee of £14 and some minor expenses such as for refreshments and a share of the cost of renting a room for some larger group meetings. Most groups meet at their leaders’ homes.

Our members can enjoy groups covering a wide range of subjects in art, music, language, literature, philosophy, history, science, current affairs, sport and recreation.  There is a monthly meeting, open to all members and to visitors, usually with a speaker on a topic of general interest.
